How Easy Is It To Use The TASER C2?

by Jim Wilkinson on Feb.23, 2010, under Health

If you have purchased a TASER C2 then it is very important that you know how to use it properly so you can have the best self defense possible. There are many things about a TASER you should know so you can use it effectively against an attacker. The first step, of course, is to read the directions and Owner’s manual that came with the TASER you purchased. Also, most importantly, take the time to review the included Training DVD that comes with every TASER C2.

The Lithium Battery Cartridge that powers the unit has enough stored power to last for about 50 firings of the unit. A word of caution here, do not put the magazine cartridge into the C2 before the Power Cartridge. Put the battery cartridge in first and then put the magazine cartridge in. After you have inserted the battery cartridge a green light will light up to let you know the TASER C2 is operational.

The next thing you need to do is load your air cartridges. Make sure the safety switch cover is closed and that the TASER is pointing in a safe direction. Remove the cartridge cover at the front of the C2 and insert the cartridge until you hear it click. That indicates it is locked in place. Just to make sure, gently pull on the sides of the cartridge. There is not an “up” or “down” on the air cartridges so you don’t have to worry about putting the cartridge in wrong. This is also a nice feature for when you are under any stress so you can reload quickly if needed. Each cartridge carries the probes, wire, and compressed air. Do not try to open these cartridges.

Secure Your Home for Free

by Martin Elmer on Oct.22, 2009, under Lights

There are not ways to secure your home completely. But there are ways to make so difficult for the thieves to break in, that they will choose your neighbor instead. And the methods can be carried out for free or for a very low price.

If you hide when you are away, you can avoid many break-ins. You should never have regularly routines. Even if it sounds difficult, try to vary the time of departure and arrival just a little bit every day.

If you are on vacation for a longer time, it is best to stop the delivering of mail and newspaper. If your mail box is filled with post, it is easy for the thief to see, that you are away. You can also arrange with the neighbor, that he will park the car the car in front of your house sometimes. Do also make arrangement about mowing the lawn and removing the snow.

The thieves are also starting to use the internet to find good places for a break in. So do not write on Facebook, Twitter etc. when you will be away from home; especially not if you have an open profile that everybody can read.

Why No One Will Ever Be Excited About Workplace Safety

by Pierre Rebourg on Oct.20, 2009, under Health

Employees Get Used to Everything

We’ve seen things safety in the workplace many times. The words have become so obvious and average that they often hold no real significance for us anymore. They’re only a general thought, an unclear idea about not messing up too terribly while on the job.

It’s sad that this is how it goes, but there isn’t a ton to be done about it: being safe isn’t the most dynamic thing in the workplace. But that’s the idea in the first place”it only must be there, in the culture of any company, so common that it’s not often noted.

In the actual world, it doesn’t always work out like this. Way too many companies and their employees put a very weak focus on workplace safety, happily ignoring it until the worst happens, and a serious workplace compromise demands a full re-evaluation of safety practices and habits.

Shutters and Blinds: What Are The Differences?

by Tess Reardon on Oct.20, 2009, under Doors

The windows are usually bare when you move into a new home and at that point you need to decide what you are going to get to cover them. Most people automatically get blinds but there is another option that might be even better. Shutters can in many cases do the job of blinds and at the same time provide much more style to the rooms they are installed in.

Interior shutters can be more expensive than blinds but they give any room an elegance that blinds cannot. Shutters are increasing in popularity as more and more people discover them but blinds still remain the overwhelming choice of most people. This can only be explained by the fact that shutters just dont get the exposure in home improvement stores that blinds do.

In a room such as a kitchen, caf shutters work very well to let light in from the top of a window while providing much needed privacy at eye level. Many people use a combination of shutters and blinds throughout their house as they install blinds on the upper floors and have the more stylish shutters on the main floor. Caf shutters work well in any room where you want to let light in but also want some privacy from people peering in your house.
